The successful defense of the environment depends largely on the conscientious and informed citizens, as well as on their adequate training or education.
That is why , Callisto:
Designs, implements and supports information and public awareness campaigns which aim to “translate” obscure environmental, political, economic and scientific developments into layman’s’ terms. We also try to activate the public so as to participate in the conservation of the environment.
Designs, develops and applies environmental education programs aimed at students and teachers of all educational levels
Organizes training activities and seminars for adults of special target groups: Protected Areas management staff, farmers and livestock breeders in environmental issues, scientists from Greece and the Balkans in advanced techniques for the conservation and management of the natural environment, to name just a few.
